| Despite his busy teaching schedule, Ray stays actively involved in the national framing scene, attending educational seminars in order to keep abreast of rapidly changing technology. He also continues to compete as time allows, recently finishing second in the Open Framing and receiving the "Judges Award for Most Innovative New Technique in Picture Framing" at the
National Open Framing Championship
in Las Vegas 2004.
When not traveling, Ray can be found framing or teaching classes at his studio in the woods of Sagle. Prior to entering the framing profession, Ray spent 18 years at the Atlantic Richfield Aluminum Reduction Plant in Columbia Falls, Montana, where he headed the Environmental Department as Senior Environmental Chemist. |
