West Art is a custom picture framing education facility located in the beautiful mountainous 
region of northern Idaho.  West Art is owned and operated by Ray Dwyer, CPF, an 
individual with 20 years of documented excellence in the picture framing industry.   

Despite his busy teaching schedule, Ray stays actively involved in the national framing
scene, attending educational seminars in order to keep abreast of rapidly changing
technology.  He also continues to compete as time allows,  finishing
third in the 2007 PPFA International Open Framing Championship in Las Vegas and
 first in the 2006 PPFA International Open Framing Championship in Orlando, Florida, and
second in the 2004 PPFA National Open Framing Championship in Las Vegas.   

Ray conducts five-day beginner’s and advanced classes, accepting no more than
two students per class.  This undiluted, high intensity training is with an individual
who has a reputation throughout the industry for meticulous craftsmanship and award
winning, innovative frame designs.  This makes West Art one of the most desirable
and exclusive locations to learn the craft of picture framing in the United States.
